Action! Filming starts on Star Wars: Episode Viii

I hope you’re all ready to get back on the greatest ride of all…  The lead into a brand new Star Wars film!

It was confirmed today by Bob Iger that Director Rian Johnson has began the filming of Star Wars: Episode Viii. Filming was originally penned to begin in January, but due to script revisions, it was pushed back, along with the release date – From May 2017 to December 2017 –

Bob Iger says:

“Filming of Star Wars: Episode VIII, the next chapter of the legendary saga, has just commenced and it will be in theaters December 2017. And production ofEpisode IX, a 2019 release, has also begun.”

Filming of Star Wars: Episode Viii is set to return to Ireland, supposedly in April, with as many as 7 different locations being rumoured by the locals of Dingle Co.Kerry.
