LucasFilm and Disney have already revealed some pretty exciting news…
Star Wars Land
The biggest draw of the entire convention are the announcements regarding Star Wars Land. The two themed attraction “mini parks” will cost roughly $1 billion dollars each. Both Hollywood Studios Florida and Disneyland California are understood to have the same attractions but they layout may differ slightly. Both parks will eventually cover almost 14 acres of theme park space.
In the video below you can see the large scale model 3D model which is estimated to be almost 50 feet wide:
The scale of the buildings put’s this attraction in perspective, they look like they will tower high above guests leading to a highly immersive experience. Cantina like structures can be seen clearly while also easily identifiable are lush forest terrain (Resistance Base perhaps?) and more rugged mountainous areas.
The experience will take guests to a remote trading port on a never before seen planet and “one of the last stops before Wild Space”. It’s here that the characters and stories will really come to life.
Two main attractions will give guests an experience like no other. Those who seek adventure and fast paced action will find themselves caught between a battling Resistance and the First Order. The Star of the show will no doubt the full scale Millennium Falcon where guests will have to pilot the Fastest Hunk of Junk in the Galaxy on a secret mission.
